
The Highams Park Business Group (HPBG) was set up by local businesses to support people who work, live or do business in Highams Park.
Mission Statement
To build a vibrant and cohesive network to promote the growth of Highams Park’s diverse businesses offering quality products and services to the local community and beyond.
What do we do?
The HPBG create connections and build relationships with the local businesses and professionals.
How do we do it?
To accomplish our goals the group meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to exchange leads and learn more about one member’s specific business, or business enhancement ideas. Each member is also given an opportunity to update the group on special developments relative to their specific industry or business.
Who do we do it for?
Anyone who carries out business in and around the Highams Park area. This includes not just the shops, cafes, restaurants and businesses in Highams Park District Centre but homeworkers and internet businesses across the wider Highams Park area.

- To help businesses grow and prosper.
- To improve awareness of what the Highams Park business community has to offer.
- Make Highams Park an even more enjoyable and a nicer place to live and work
- Support new and existing businesses in Highams Park (mentoring scheme)
- Share ideas, concerns and skills (mastermind group)
- To act as a voice and lobby on behalf of the business community
- Get to understand each other’s businesses
- Provide business opportunities by passing quality referrals between members

Membership
To offer local businesses greater support, the HPBG is moving onto a membership basis.
The 3 levels of membership are designed to generate funds to enhance the work by the HPBG including the production and maintenance of the Highams Park Portal, but at the same time get as many of the local businesses and home crafts connected and involved in the mix.
Initial Entry
All local community groups, clubs, schools and businesses are entitled to a free listing in alphabetical order on the Portal.

Bronze
£5 per month or discounted to £50 per year.
Bronze membership entitles you to:
- Basic listing of your business or craft
- Links from the Portal to your website
- Window display sticker (or online version that can be displayed on your website).
Silver
£10 per month or discounted to £100 per year.
Silver membership entitles you to:
- Feature Page and article (self-prepared) in addition to basic listing of your business or craft
- Links from the Portal to your website
- Window display sticker (or online version that can be displayed on your website)
- Broader promotion through the HPBG social media on Instagram and Facebook and through regular automated postings via the Highams Park Portal website.
Gold
£20 per month or discounted to £200 per year.
Gold membership entitles you to:
- Revolving Banner Promotion on Portal website pages
- Feature Page and article (self-prepared) in addition to basic listing of your business or craft
- Links from the Portal to your website
- Window display sticker (or online version that can be displayed on your website)
- Broader promotion through the HPBG social media on Instagram and Facebook and through regular automated postings via the Highams Park Portal website, hSpark Radio and outside events.
The Highams Park Business Group is part of the Highams Park Planning Group (HPPG). By joining HPBG you become part of HPPG. You may receive communications from HPPG. Data is not shared with third parties. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Networking
HPBG meets on the second Tuesday of each month for a Business Breakfast from 08:00 – 09:30.
These meetings are open to everyone who lives or works in Highams Park – although being a member of the HPBG will place you on the rota for presentations to showcase your business to the networking group.
The HPBG arranges guest speakers who bring interesting advice and fresh ideas to the group.
At HPBG meetings you will meet like-minded people, with each attendee having the time for a brief talk about their business as well as the customers or clients they are looking for.
HPBG meetings provide more than just a marketing opportunity, they are a chance to offer and receive friendly support.
Our Next Breakfast Meeting
Our next breakfast meeting is Tuesday 12th Sept 2023 from 7.45 for 8am – 9.30am at the Highams Park Community Hub, which is located at the end of the Highams Park Station building (entrance by The Station Florists) 2, Station Approach, The Avenue, London E4 9LA.

At each meeting everyone who attends gets an opportunity to introduce and promote themselves and their business with a view to how we may help them to gain more business.
