The Council is looking for “Snow Angels” in the Highams Park Area

The Council is looking for “Snow Angels” in the Highams Park Area

It’s turning cold, so it’s time to prepare, so the Council is looking for Snow Angels to help clear snow of the pavements near to where they live.

The scheme provides residents with the tools to enable and help them and their neighbours to stay safe during severe wintry conditions, especially by helping the vulnerable and less agile, as well as massively increasing the amount of grit and salt the Council can get down on our residential streets. This year we are looking to increase this number to at least 1000 Snow Angels by procuring more winter equipment to ensure that our residents are sufficiently prepared equipped to deal with any severe wintry conditions we may experience.

The Council is still looking for proactive, community minded individuals to contact us and register an interest in becoming a Snow Angel. All Snow Angels get a snow shovel, grit and a high visibility vest !
If you would like to become a Snow Angel then please email the Council on:environmental.services@walthamforest.gov.uk or telephone: 020 8496 3000
