Vintage Market at Hale End Library – May 11th from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm

As part of local residents’ ongoing campaign to support Hale End Library The Highams Park Planning Group has organised another “Vintage Market Day” in the car park to the rear of the library. 

The  is a free and fun community event showcasing our wonderful library, with lots of activities going on for adults and children of all ages! Please read on for more details.

Date & Time: Saturday 11th May from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Main Venue: Hale End Library, Castle Avenue, E4 9QD

The Vintage Market will be supported by all sorts of fun activities happening  in and around the library, the timetable and map will be ready soon so you can  see where and when each activity is taking place throughout the day.

Here’s a summary of some of the things happening  (more details to follow soon):

  • A Vintage Market in the library car park, with music by Disco 2000
  • Tea & cake and street food on the front lawns
  • Live performance by Petite Productions
  • Performance by Harmony E4 Choir
  • Experience Virtual Reality with a Nintendo Labo headset and learn how to count in binary
  • Author book signings 
  • Children’s poetry readings
  • The Making Project with Martin Chandler
  • hSpark Radio
  • Knit & natter
  • Exhibitions on the prefabs and Eunice Black
  • Art displays by local schools

You will see the library’s community rooms in use for various activities – these are available for hire seven days a week and the main library is available on closed days and in the evenings. Why not use them to run your own club, classes, or activities; you can enquire at the library reception desk for more details.
