New groups

Adventures in Writing!
A new writers group meeting at Hale End Library is inviting both new and experienced writers to join. The object of the group is to learn, improve skills, develop, share, encourage and inspire others. For more information contact Mike Schirn at underneathearches@yahoo.com

The writers groups next meeting in this Saturday 1st April from 11am to 1pm and takes place the first Saturday of every month. The sessions are open to both new and experienced writers of fiction, poetry, short stories and plays.

There is a small contribution request of £2.00 to cover room hire and tea and coffee.

The May, June, July dates are as follows. 6th May/3rd June/1st July.

Mike says the aim of the classes it is to “To encourage, improve and share current writing projects. The group meetings include some writing exercises. readings by the writers of their own work, discussion and constructive criticism in order to develop the potential of the work and to hopefully, perform the writers work in public. In this respect, I am hoping if we get enough quality work from the contributors, we could then have enough material to perform at the library and elsewhere…Highams Park Live…being a case in point, if there is space, and other Open Mic opportunities.”

Petite Productions
Are looking to add an additional “Petite Productions Performers” class for 6-11 year olds on a Monday 5.30-6.30 at the Library. The classes will be all about learning the three disciplines of singing, dancing and acting, and how to put on a show. There’ll then be a performance at the end of each term, watched by family, friends and industry professionals. For more information, visit www.petiteproductions.co.uk/contact
