The Council has agreed The Highams Park Plan can be put to a referendum

The Highams Park Plan was presented to the Cabinet of Waltham Forest Council on Thursday 10th October and it was agreed that the plan can now proceed to a referendum (public vote) of all residents of Highams Park.

We are currently working on tidying up all the documents required and discussing with Council Officers what the arrangements will be for the referendum.  There is a lot of preparatory work to be done but we are hopeful the referendum will be in March 2020. The Referendum Version of the Highams Park Plan is not  ready to publish as yet but we will put the documents on HPPG’s website when they are finalised and let you know more details of the referendum process as and when the information becomes available.
The Highams Park Plan has been in the making by members of the Highams Park Planning Group (HPPG) since November 2013, so this is a great step forward and the Coordinating Committee of HPPG should like to extend the grateful thanks to the many people who have worked so hard to get us to this stage.
