We have formally submitted the HP Plan to the Council !

We have formally submitted the HP Plan to the Council !

We have made a big step forward and have now formally submitted the Highams Park Plan (the HP Plan) to the Council.
The Council are currently undertaking due diligence on the documents that we have submitted to them and are aiming to launch a six week public consultation in early January 2019. The submission version of the HP Plan will be made available during the public consultation and you will then have the  opportunity to read and comment on the content of the Plan. We will let you know when the consultation begins.
After the consultation there will be a few more steps to be completed but if everything goes to schedule we are hopeful that the process will be completed and the HP Plan formally adopted by the Council by July/August  2019.
We look forward to updating you on where things stand at our annual general meeting in February and we will notify you of the date of the meeting soon.
Finally, we should like to extend a big thank you to all the people that have worked so hard to get us to this important stage.

Update on The Highams Park Plan

Update on The Highams Park Plan

We continue to move forward with the Plan and are now in the final phases before it goes to a formal referendum of Highams Park Residents.  This referendum will be organised by the Council and will lead to the Plan’s final approval.

Latest Draft of the Highams Park Plan (HP Plan)

Following the informal consultation undertaken by the Highams Park Planning Group in March /May 2017, the HP Plan has been amended and discussed with Council Planning Officers, however, before formally submitting the HP Plan to the Council we intend to have the plan reviewed by independent planning consultants to ensure that we have complied with all the necessary requirements under the Localism Act in relation to Neighbourhood Plans.

Once we have received the report from the independent consultants we shall formally submit the HP Plan to the Council for formal consultation of residents and subsequent referendum as soon as possible.

We are not seeking further comments on the HP Plan at this stage as people will be invited to comment on the formal submission draft of the HP Plan when the Council run their formal consultation later in 2018.
